At press time we received this sad news. Vic worked at Berkeley Hort from 1965, when he was a high school student in El Cerrito, until his retirement in 2011. We have fond memories of him at countless trade shows, long drives to select nursery stock, buying trips to Oregon, nursery conventions, nursery parties, workshops, unsanctioned fiestas, garden contests, and introductions to noteworthy garden celebrities. And who can forget him as the inimitable Dr. Chlorophyll?
