Rudbeckia

They attract butterflies, honeybees and other pollinators (but NOT deer!), they bloom from Summer through Fall, they are great cut flowers, and they can take the heat. They have been popular for centuries, for good reason. Plants are short-lived but will come back from self-sown seeds. Black-Eyed Susan checks all the boxes!

Echinacea

These long-blooming perennials provide vibrant color from summer into fall, attract bees and butterflies, and once established, are remarkably drought tolerant. Leave the seed heads standing after the blooms fade to provide a valuable food source for songbirds through winter.

Salvia

At last count, we had over 25 different varieties of flowering sage in stock. Most like it hot and dry. Mix them up. All have aromatic foliage and striking flowers during the warmer months. Usually ignored by deer and gophers.
