Native to Australia, these colorful and drought tolerant shrubs are well suited to our Bay Area climate. The bright fire-engine red, orange-scarlet, or pink flowers are great for attracting hummingbirds. Some of our favorite low-growers are Austraflora Fanfare, Jade Mound, and Mt. Tamboritha. Other favorite showy and tall varieties include Bonfire, Long John, Ned Kelly, and Moonlight.
