You may know them as Kangaroo Paws. Native to open forests in Australia, they bear strikingly colorful furry flowers atop curved sword like leaves. Hummingbirds love ’em. Just make sure your soil drains well, otherwise they’re tough plants. Dwarf and tall varieties.
