To complement our great selection of bareroot fruit trees every January, we also bring in a wide assortment of bareroot small fruits: blackberries, blueberries, raspberries & strawberries. Each year we hear more and more success stories with these small fruits; folks are enjoying healthy harvests of these sweet treats and having fun doing it too! Some are even producing enough to share with their local community.

We’ve had the added pleasure of being able to trial and taste most of the different varieties of small fruits here at the nursery or at our homes. Our selections are based on health and fruit production of the plants in our “particular” Bay Area climate (and yummi-ness, too). If you make it into The Hort in November, you might still be able to sample some of the last ripe strawberries of the season. They’re hiding throughout the grounds. Please save some for the kids!
